Telkomsel to double its call center capacity

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Cellular telephone operator PT Telkomsel plans to double its call center capacity to 1.1 million calls a day.

"The service supported by an interactive voice response system is operated by around 4,000 personnel and has been the busiest call center in the country," VP Customer Service Irwin Sakti said in a written statement received here on Sunday.

Telkomsel has also opened a call center 136 video service access based on 3G technology as has been widely applied in many advanced countries, he said.

Irwin said PT Telkomsel had earned the international quality standard management certifacate ISO 90001:2000 for customer service covering call centers in Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung and Medan.

The certificate is an international recognition of the company`s quality standard of all its services including call center and walk-in services.

Irwin said that the company`s call center was supported by complete access to all services from customer service online, SMS, website to e-mail to around 10,500 service points across the country.(*)
