Indonesia's IT chief to attend Cebu conference

MANILA, Philippines -- Indonesia's deputy minister for communications and information Sardjoeni Moedjiono will be among a handful of foreign speakers who will attend next month's Cebu ICT conference.

According to the organizers, Moedjiono will talk about evolving workforce IT and IT-enabled services models and will likely tackle Indonesia's thrust in the global outsourcing market.

Among the other confirmed speakers in the conference include McKinsey & Company president Christopher Beshouri, Korea IT International Cooperation Agency chief executive director Eun Jung Lee, SPi president and CEO Ernest Cu and Cebu-based Bigfoot Entertainment COO Matt Lubetich.

Delegates from Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia are also expected to attend the annual conference organized by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The conference takes place on June 26-28 at the Shangri-la Mactan Hotel in Cebu City. The event likewise features separate conferences on tourism and entrepreneurship.
