SingTel Wins Battle for Stake in Warid

SINGAPORE -- Singapore Telecommunications Ltd. emerged as the winner in a three-way battle to get a 30% stake in Pakistan's Warid Telecom.
SingTel said Thursday it will pay US$758 million to acquire the stake from Warid's parent company, Abu Dhabi Group.[more, online.wsj]
