Excelcom reports rising 1H profits, subscriber numbers

Publicly-listed mobile operator PT Excelcomindo Pratama (Excelcom) reported gross operating income of IDR3.7 trillion (USD408.1 million) in the first half of 2007, a 28% rise on the same period of 2006, driven by subscriber gains thanks to the introduction of new ‘service programmes’. At the end of June the company had 10.2 million customers, up 22% year-on-year from 8.4 million in June 2006.
