Local equipment developer fuels growth for WiMAX in Indonesia

WiMAX equipment doesn't have to be an import solution. This is the message from PT Hariff Daya Tunggal Engineering (Hariff DTE), a system manufacturer in Indonesia. The company recently unveiled its HiMAX-231 network solution. Based on the IEEE 802.16-2004 standard and using the Wavesat DM256 chipset, the 2.3 GHz Base Station and Subscriber Station were designed, developed and manufactured in Indonesia. [more, wimax.com]
