Indonesia's Telkom Q2 net up
INDONESIA'S largest telecommunications company, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk, posted a better-than-expected 50 per cent rise in its second quarter net profit, led by strong growth in its mobile phone business.
State-owned Telkom, also the biggest listed firm on the Jakarta exchange with a market capitalisation of US$23.1 billion, controls 65 per cent of PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel), Indonesia's top mobile operator. [more, bruneitimes]
